Activities

From November 5 to 7, 2024, the American-Serbian Business Council (ASBC) facilitated high-level discussions between U.S. corporations and Serbian officials to enhance economic cooperation. The mission began on November 5 with a briefing with representatives of the U.S. Embassy in Belgrade, followed by a U.S. Election Watch Party. On November 6, company representatives met with First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Siniša Mali, who presented Serbia’s investment-grade credit rating, 4.2% projected GDP growth, and opportunities tied to the Specialized Expo 2027 Belgrade and free trade agreements. Plenary sessions followed with President Aleksandar Vučić and Deputy Prime Minister Irena Vujović, as well as ministry discussions on energy, agriculture, and infrastructure. The day concluded with a dinner hosted by U.S. Ambassador Christopher Hill. On November 7, meetings focused on infrastructure, healthcare, and innovation, culminating in a plenary session with Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Đurić. The initiative underscored Serbia’s position as a regional leader in attracting foreign investment and its openness to stronger U.S. partnerships.
